The two Koreas in June will hold a joint civic event in Pyongyang to mark the 2000 inter-Korean summit.
Both sides have marked the summit every year, but this is the first time for Pyongyang to host a related event.
Organizers agreed on the festival in talks at the North's Mount Geumgang resort Thursday and Friday.
Set for June 14th to 17th, this year's celebration is expected to draw about 15 hundred people from both Koreas.
Another two hundred to three hundred ethnic Koreans abroad will also attend.
The South's delegation will fly to the North via the West Sea.
In 2000, President Kim Dae-jung and North Korean leader Kim Jong-il met in Pyongyang in the first summit since the division of the Korean Peninsula in 1945. President Kim later won the Nobel Peace Prize that year.
The landmark event touched off exchanges between the two countries, including emotional reunions of families separated by the Korean War.
