North Korea has issued a new currency with a face value of two hundred won.

NK Auction, an auctioneer of North Korean products, on Tuesday released a photo of the new currency, which shows "juche 94," or self-reliance, and denoting 2005 as the year of issuance.

The bill also had the North's national flower peony instead of the more common portraits of North Korean leader Kim Jong-il or his late father Kim Il-sung.

Since announcing economic improvement measures in 2002, Pyongyang has issued new bills including one thousand, five thousand and 10 thousand won notes.
