Civic Groups Urge Fertilizer Aid to NK

Local civic groups are urging immediate fertilizer aid to North Korea.
The Association of Civic Groups for Inter-Korean Cooperation, in a Friday news conference, said the government must send the aid without further delay because it is a humanitarian issue.
Earlier, the Unification Ministry said the North must resume government-level talks before Seoul can consider its request for 500 thousand tons of fertilizer.
Some 40 support groups including the Korean Sharing Movement attended the news conference.
