Choi Leads SK Open

Golfer Choi Kyung-ju is hoping to win his second SK Telecom Open in three years.

He shot a five-under 67 Thursday in Seoul for a first-place tie with Australia's Terry Pilkadaris and Japan's Koji Katoh in the opening round.

Winning the tournament in 2003, Choi had six birdies including one on the round's final hole.

Fellow South Koreans Park Jae-kyung, Lee Boo-young, Park No-seok, Kang Kyung-nam, Kang Kwon-il, Kong John-joon and Choi Sang-ho all shot 68 for second place.
