N. Korea Hints at Return to Nuke Talks

North Korea has reaffirmed its position that it will return to the six-way talks at any time if the U.S. provides sufficient cause and an environment amenable to its return.

According to the North's Korea Central News Agency (KCNA), North Korean parliamentary representatives made the remarks on Friday during a meeting with a visiting delegation of Russian lawmakers in Pyongyang.

The North Koreans also stressed that Pyongyang's support for a nuclear-free Korean Peninsula and the peaceful resolution of its atomic standoff remains unchanged.

Additionally, they claimed that Washington's complete denial of the North Korean regime and its hostile policy toward Pyongyang had led the North to boycott the six-way talks and continue the development of nuclear weapons.

The Russian parliamentary delegation, led by Konstantin Kosachyov, the head of the Duma's international affairs committee, is scheduled to meet with North Korea's No. 2 official, Kim Yong-nam, and other top officials during its three-day visit from Thursday to Satruday.
