A North Korean scientist has hinted at possible nuclear tests.

Japan's Mainichi Shimbun on Monday said the assistant director of the North's Institute for Arms Reduction and Peace, Park Hyun-jai, spoke to Yoshida Yasuhico and other professors from Osaka University.

Park told Yoshida that Pyongyang has developed nuclear weapons if it said so, and thus a nuclear test is inevitable.
