The Foreign Affairs and Trade Ministry said Friday that meetings of overseas mission chiefs for this year will open in southern Seoul Monday for a three-day run.

A ministry official said that ninety-three ambassadors from all the overseas missions and four consul generals at major regions like Osaka will attend the meetings at the Korea International Cooperation Agency's International Training Center.

Participants will discuss ways to enhance diplomatic strength for the establishment of a peace regime on the Korean Peninsula and to support consistent economic development.
