US Ambassador to Japan Thomas Schieffer is pointing to signs of a possible North Korean nuclear test.

In talks Thursday with the head of Japan's New Clean Government Party, Schieffer said indications, though unconfirmed, show the North is highly likely of conducting a test.

He warned that a nuclear North will threaten U-S and Japanese security and peace in East Asia.
