The government will send a medical team to India hit by a strong earthquake

The government said that it will send a medical team to India which was hit hard by a strong earthquake. The team will be made up of 17 doctors, nurses and pharmacists. They will extend medical service to the victims in the hardest hit area, Amedabad for a week.

The government will also give 50,000 dollars in cash and 50,000 dollars' worth of medicine. The government, however, decided not to dispatch the 911 rescue team in judgement that the rescue work is almost over. It is the first time for the Seoul government to send a medical team to an overseas disaster.
