A Korean student in Japan dies while saving a drunken Japanese passenger in a subway station

A Korean student in Japan was killed by a train while trying to save a drunken Japanese man who fell onto the platform Friday night.
27-year-old Korean student, Lee Soo-hyun, watched a drunken passenger fall and jumped down to save him with another Japanese. However, they failed to climb back up in time and all three were killed by the subway train.
A long line of mourners paid tribute to Lee at a funeral held at the language institute he attended Monday.
Prime Minister Yoshiro Mori and Chief Cabinet Secretary, Hukuda Yasuo, made a visit and conveyed condolences on behalf of the Japanese government.
His noble act made the headline for major Japanese papers. A number of Japanese expressed their condolences to his bereaved family in Korea for his sacrifice for the Japanese citizen.
Lee from Korea's prestigious Korea University was taking a leave from school to study the Japanese language.
