North Korea is urging on the United States to repeal its strategic plan for a possible preemptive strike on the North, calling it a "dangerous war plan."

A US contingency plan called CONPLAN 8022 deals with "imminent" threats from what Washington considers rouge countries such as North Korea or Iran.

The North's cabinet newspaper Minju Chosun on Tuesday said the new plan is more advanced than previous US scenarios of invading the North, using bunker busters to attack nuclear facilities or specific targets.

The paper said such weapons proved their efficiency during the Iraq war and that the United States smuggled them into South Korea as early as summer 2003.
