The South Korean National Council of Churches (KNCC) will hold a fundraising drive from Feb. 1 to Easter on April 20 to send television-VCR sets to North Korea.

KNCC officials said Wednesday that their goal is to gather enough money to send 300 sets and give them to church homes.

One official said they donated 200 TV-VCRs last year to Pyongang and Hwanghae provinces with the help of the Christian Association in South Korea.

He said there are over 500 church homes in the North, and KNCC wants to send at least 300 more.

In addition, the KNCC intends to donate videotapes of church sermons and Bible interpretations.
