South and North Korea have ended working-level talks without agreement on the formation of the South's delegation to the June 15th joint celebrations in Pyongyang next month.

At discussions held at the North's border city of Gaesong Tuesday, the two sides exchanged views on the size and itinerary of the South Korean delegation, but failed to narrow differences.

Delegates will meet again Friday.

Last week, North Korea accepted the South's proposal to send a government delegation to celebrations marking the fifth anniversary of the June, 2000 inter-Korean summit in Pyongyang.
