A South Korean vessel will leave for North Korea Saturday to transport fertilizer as agreed in inter-Korean vice ministerial talks.

The Unification Ministry on Friday said a cargo ship carrying 55-hundred tons of fertilizer will leave at 5 pm Saturday from Gunsan and head for the North's port of Haeju.

Four of the North's ships are loading fertilizer from Ulsan, South Gyeongsang Province, and Yeosu, South Jeolla Province, before returning to the North next week or early next month.

The ministry will finish sending by land ten thousand tons of fertilizer by Saturday, and ship 190-thousand tons by mid-June.
