Seoul's fertilizer aid to Pyongyang has surpassed five-hundred billion won since the aid's inception in 1999.

The Unification Ministry said Tuesday that around 90 billion won was injected into the ongoing fertilizer aid to North Korea, including fertilizer procurement and transportation costs.

The Ministry confirmed the exact amount over the years to be five-hundred-60 billion won.

Moreover, the scale of assistance has grown considerably from 155-thousand tons in 1999 to a cumulative total of one-point-seven million tons so far, including this year's donations.
