The government has sent the list of 300 civic delegates to a joint event in Pyongyang to mark the fifth anniversary of the historic inter-Korean summit.

The preparatory committee for the event sent the list Saturday to North Korea. A 40-member government delegation will also go.

Committee head Paik Nak-chung, lawmakers and scholars as well as representatives from labor, women's affairs, sports and media organizations will go to Pyongyang for the festivities Tuesday through Thursday.

The size of the delegation was cut to 300 from the 615 originally agreed on, but is more than the 190 the North proposed early this month.
