The Unification Ministry has finalized the list of 340 delegates to attend joint events in Pyongyang next week to mark the fifth anniversary of the historic inter-Korean summit.

The ministry on Sunday released the list of a 40-member state delegation led by Minister Chung Dong-young.

The list includes six advisors such as former unification ministers Lim Dong-won, Park Jae-kyu and Jeong Se-hyun and eight minister-level officials including Vice Finance Minister Bahk Byong-won and Cultural Heritage Administration head Yoo Hong-joon.

North Korea's 24-member group, headed by Kim Ki-nam, secretary of the Workers' Party's central committee, will comprise government officials, lawmakers and others.

The South's preparatory committee for the event on Saturday sent to the North the list of 300 civil delegates.

The civic group includes the preparatory committee head Paik Nak-chung, lawmakers and scholars as well as representatives from organizations of labor, women's affairs, sports and media.

The size of the civic delegation was cut to 300 from the 615 originally agreed on, but is more than the 190 that the North had demanded early this month.
