The two Koreas on Monday began a joint week-long class for elementary, middle and high school students to mark the fifth anniversary of the historic inter-Korean summit.

The Korean Federation of Teacher’s Associations in Seoul said Monday that some 400,000 teachers will take part in the class using video materials.

A federation official said both Koreas decided on the event to celebrate the 2000 inter-Korean summit and to instill the proper perception and values on reunification in students.
