South Korea’s National Red Cross president, Han Wan-sang, has arrived in Pyongyang for a four-day visit.

Han was originally scheduled to travel to Pyongyang Friday via Beijing, but arrived Tuesday aboard a chartered Air Koryo flight from Seoul that was returning to the North after shuttling Pyongyang's delegation to the 15th inter-Korean ministerial talks.

During his stay in the communist state, Han will hold discussions on arranging reunions of separate families and building a permanent reunion center. He'll also invite the North to organize joint events on the sidelines of the General Assembly of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies in November in Seoul.

Han will also visit the northwestern border city of Ryongchong, which was the site of a devastating train explosion last April that killed at least one-hundred-60 people and injured one-thousand-300.
