Russia to railroad office in Seoul

Russia will open a railroad office in Seoul.

The Russian trade representative in Seoul Thursday announced the plan to set up its representative office to discuss transportation cooperation.

South and North Korea are now reconnecting the Kyongui railway, which will be linked to the trans-Siberian railroad.

Russia has a railroad representative in Pyongyang.

Meanwhile, a Russian railroad mission will visit Seoul over the weekend. During its stay, the delegation will brief South Korean officials on its plan to open a rail link to the Korean Peninsula and other cooperative projects in transportation.
