WFP: NK Rations to Fall to 200 Grams

The World Food Program (WFP) says North Korea will cut daily food rations to 200 grams in July from the current 250 grams.

The North in January had already cut daily rations from 300 grams of cereal to 250 grams. The WFP has set 500 grams as the minimum daily requirement.

The UN agency has warned of a severe food shortage for 3.6 million North Koreans over the next five months until the harvest season.
