President Kim Dae-jung Friday called for the establishment of a new code of ethics on the use of information technology to keep the Internet free from hacking, cyber terrorism, leakages of private information, pornography and suicide sites.

Kim said that the people need to set up a new code of information ethics and expand it to establish an environment that protects information.

Kim also called for more investments in the information superhighway and enhancements in related technologies to meet the increasing needs for information.
