2 Koreas to Talk Tech Prep for Reunions

The two Koreas on Wednesday will hold the first technical meeting in Gaesung on online video reunions of separated families.

The Unification Ministry said Monday that Jang Jae-eon, chairman of the North Korean Red Cross, proposed via phone a working-level meeting of technicians to Han Wan-sang, president of the South Korean National Red Cross.

Unification Minister Chung Dong-young and North Korean leader Kim Jong-il agreed to the online reunions in their meeting earlier this month.

In the 15th inter-Korean ministerial talks last week, the two sides set the reunion date for August 15th and working-level meetings from July 10th.

The ministry said that given limited preparation time, the North proposed additional meetings on technical preparations in the phone message.
