Writers from South and North Korea will gather in Pyongyang later this month for a forum that will aim for the full implementation of the June 15 Joint Declaration.

The South’s organizers of the event said Friday that the two sides had agreed at working-level talks this week to hold the event from July 20th to the 25th in Pyongyang as well as at Mt. Baekdu.

According to the organizers, some 90 writers from the South will take part in the forum.

Preparations for the event were launched in August of 2004; however, efforts were indefinitely postponed after inter-Korean ties soured later that year.
