Ambassador Yang offers Korean-made computers to OAS

South Korean ambassador to the United States Yang Sung-churl donated Tuesday Korean-made broadcasting equipment and computers worth 50,000 U.S. dollars to the Organization of American States.

In a ceremony held at the Columbus Memorial Library in Washington D.C., a number of OAS officials including the OAS Secretary General Ruich Eeinaudi attended and expressed their appreciation.

The Korea International Cooperation Agency or KOICA, an affiliate of the South Korean Foreign Ministry, has been involved in various external cooperation business. They have offered materials to the OAS for its anti-drug or mine-sweeping campaigns.

KOICA delivered 80,000 dollars worth of computers in 1998 and 50,000 dollars worth of ambulances and trucks in 1999.
