L.A. Dodgers pitcher Park Chan-ho made a contribution of $10,000 U.S. dollars Tuesday to Wilshire Elementary School to help it construct a new playground.

The donation was the first project of the "Chanho Park Dream Foundation," which Park recently set up to provide financial support for Korean children and underprivileged students in the United States.

The 27-year-old major leaguer visited the school for Korean children and encouraged the students there.
