The official newspaper of North Korea's Workers' Party says the United States holds the key to resolving the nuclear issue, citing hostile U.S. policy for prompting Pyongyang to go nuclear.

The Rodong Shinmun on Monday stressed the North's nuclear program does not seek to threaten or pressure others or launch a preemptive strike.

Saying Pyongyang will not have nuclear arms forever, the daily said the North will have no use for even a single weapon after the withdrawal of the U.S. nuclear threat and hostile policy to overthrow the communist regime.
