Optic Cable to Link Two Koreas

Fiber optic cables will link the two Koreas Monday ahead of August 15th video reunions of separated families.

The cables will connect Munsan, Gyeonggi Province, with the North Korean border city of Gaesong in a ceremony on Monday afternoon.

Meanwhile, the two Koreas will also exchange a list of candidates for each side to confirm their whereabouts for the Liberation Day reunions and for another round of face-to-face reunions set to take place in Mount Geumgang on August 26th.

The two sides will also begin conducting a geological survey from Monday until the end of the month ahead of building a permanent family reunion center in the North's mountain resort. Construction is set to begin next month.
