Plots of land in the main zone of the Gaesong Industrial Complex in North Korea will go on sale from August 1st.

The Korea Land Corporation said that as preparatory works are progressing well in the North, issues relating to passage, clearance, and infrastructure at Gaesong are expected to be addressed soon in line with the results of the 10th round of the Inter-Korean Economic Cooperation Committee meeting.

The total area of the land to go on sale is estimated at 50-thousand pyeong or 152,900 square meters, taking into account alloted space for electricity and water facilities and other infrastructure.

Also included is space for a 'collaboration complex' and an 'apartment-style factory', given the diverse demands and limitations of small-and-medium-sized enterprises.
