Finance and Economy Minister Jin Nyum will lead a delegation of senior officials to the United States late next month.

The delegation will hold seminars in New York and three other cities briefing foreign investors and U.S. government officials on South Korea's reform of the four major sectors. He'll also explain the nation's overall economic situation in an effort to seek foreign investment.

A ministry official said the trip was organized in response to foreign investors' hope to hear South Korea's economic policies directly from its top policy maker.

Joining the delegation are officials from the Finance and Economy Ministry, the central Bank of Korea and the Financial Supervisory Commission.
