The Environment Ministry said Wednesday it has drawn up a strategy to develop Korea's green industry for 2001-2003 together with eight concerned ministries, including Science-Technology, Commerce-Industry-Energy and Agriculture-Forestry.

The strategy calls for investing 1.58 billion dollars in various environmental projects to nurture environment-oriented technology and companies.

The government will push 54 key strategic items in five sectors and help Korea's green industry expand into overseas markets.
