The government wants to allow families who held video reunions with separated relatives on Liberation Day to exchange letters and presents.

A Unification Ministry official said Friday that Seoul will discuss the issue Tuesday at inter-Korean Red Cross talks.

He said the government will also try to grant the same opportunity to those who met separated relatives in any of the previous ten inter-Korean reunions.

Twenty families from each Korea comprising 215 people on Monday spoke to separated relatives through a video linkup on Liberation Day.
