NK Leader Hints at Sending Group to Mt. Halla

North Korean leader Kim Jong-il has talked of sending a delegation to Mount Halla in South Korea.

The Hyundai Group on Monday told the Seoul government that Kim met Hyundai Group Chairwoman Hyun Jung-eun in Wonsan on July 16th and asked her to prepare for his delegation's visit to the mountain.

Kim's comment apparently follows the agreement reached in the second inter-Korean ministerial meeting in 2000.

The accord called for the South to send a 100-member delegation to Mount Baekdu and the North to dispatch a group to Mount Halla between September and October.
