The Information and Communication Ministry said Wednesday it will help domestic information and communication companies to export their technologies to the Middle East.

A ministry spokesman said Middle East nations, including Saudi Arabia and Iran, are expected to invest $34.9 billion dollars in infrastructure and plant projects in the information technology (IT) sector by next year.

The ministry also plans to hold public- and finance-related system integration briefings in those nations and encourage domestic IT firms to introduce their products at IT conferences in there.

On Feb. 19, the ministry held a meeting with IT organizations and companies to discuss how to support their advance into the oil-producing nations.
