With inter-Korean relations thawing, more ethnic Koreans from the United States are visiting North Korea and will continue to do so next month.

A U.S.-based Korean-American media organization on Monday said 23 ethnic Korean Buddhists from the United States left for Pyongyang Saturday for a one-week trip to visit temples in the North.

Earlier this month, Korean-American representatives celebrated in Pyongyang events marking the 60th anniversary of Korean liberation from Japan.

Ethnic Korean women activists from the United States also visited the North from August 16th to 23rd to spread peace.

A delegation of Korean-American businessmen is expected to visit Pyongyang from September 17th through 24th for business seminars, investment consulting and tours of industrial facilities.
