Pyongyang will host the 16th inter-Korean ministers' talks this month instead of Mount Baekdu.

A Unification Ministry official on Thursday said North Korea proposed to change the venue because construction of the runways at Samjiyeon Airport near the mountain are not finished.

In the previous round of the talks in Seoul in late June, the two Koreas agreed to hold the next round at Mount Baekdu from September 13th through 16th.
