The New Seoul Opera Company on Wednesday will fly to Pyongyang to perform "Ah, Goguryeo, Goguryeo King Gwanggaeto the Great" at Bonghwa Art Center.

The opera will be the first from South Korea to be performed in North Korea.

Opening in March at the Sejong Cultural Center in downtown Seoul, the opera is about the life story of King Gwanggaeto of the ancient Goguryeo Dynasty.

Before the opera begins, North Korean performers will present a traditional lute ensemble and sword dance.
