North Korea has issued new cross-border passes in a bid to prevent forgery.

NK Auction, an online auction company dealing with North Korean goods, unveiled the newly-issued pass earlier this month in its bulletin on the latest news from the North.

The previous documents involved the affixing of photographs and writing in of the pass-holder& 039 s details by hand.

However, the new passes record the individual’s name, gender, address and date of birth in computer script, making them more difficult to forge.
