North Korea on Wednesday held an investment relations session for ethnic Koreans in Mexico.

At a meeting of an overseas Korean business community in Mexico City, a delegation from Pyongyang offered guarantees to ethnic Korean investors and asked for support.

The delegation said a financial system to encourage and protect foreign investment is near completion, including a bank exclusively for overseas Koreans which was proposed last year.

More than 100 South Korean IT firms operating in Mexico briefed the delegation on their experience in entering the Latin American market and marketing.
