A civic delegation left for Pyongyang Saturday to attend an inter-Korean women's reunification festival.

Flying via North Korea's national carrier Air Koryo, the 100-member delegation said its visit follows the 2000 inter-Korean declaration and that members will express their wish for peace on the Korean Peninsula and peaceful resolution of the North's nuclear program.

Before returning Wednesday, the South Korean delegates will attend a forum with their North Korean counterparts and visit a gynecological hospital in Pyongyang, a preschool and other women's facilities.
