Labor Delegation Touring Europe to Explain Pending Issues

A South Korean labor delegation is touring Europe-based international organizations to explain South Korea's pending labor issues and seek their understanding and cooperation.

The delegation, comprised of ranking officials from the tripartite committee for labor affairs, visited the International Labor Organization (ILO) in Geneva Monday and explained Seoul's decision to postpone lifting the ban on multiple labor unions at a work site and to allow employees who work full-time at union activities to still draw a salary from the company for two more years.

Labor movement activists and unionist in the nation blasted the government's decision as a plot to shackle labor activities.
