Poll: Majority OK with NK's Peaceful Nukes

The vast majority of the population believes North Korea has the right to pursue peaceful nuclear development.
The results of a Research and Research phone survey released Monday said 83.9 percent of 600 pollees said they approve the North's peaceful use of nuclear energy.
Fifty-one percent said they approve of the North's peaceful use of atomic energy after it dismantles its nuclear weapons and returns to the Non-Proliferation Treaty. A third said the North as a sovereign state has the right to peaceful use of nuclear technology
On the six-way nuclear talks, 64.9 percent predicted failture for the fourth round of the meeting while 24.4 percent said otherwise.
Forty percent picked economic cooperation as the most important inter-Korean issue, 18.2 percent reunions of separated families, 17.5 percent easing of military tension and 17.3 percent boosting of social and cultural exchanges.
Commissioned by ruling party lawmaker Yoo Seon-ho, the survey was conducted last week with a margin of error of four percentage points.
