Hyundai Asan Corporation remains at odds with North Korea on a proposed tour to the inter-Korean border city of Gaesong.

A Hyundai source on Wednesday said a Tuesday meeting of company executives and North Korean officials failed to reach an agreement, with no further talks scheduled.

The company has conducted three pilot tours to the city, which was the capital of the Goryeo Dynasty and has an inter-Korean industrial complex.

Relations between the two sides soured after the Hyundai Group dismissed Kim Yoon-kyu, the conglomerate's long-term pointman for North Korea operations, for embezzlement.
