The Munhwa Broadcasting Corporation (MBC) said Wednesday a domestic orchestra will be accompanying the scheduled "Three Tenors Concert" in Seoul.

MBC officials said one of the leading candidates is the Korean Symphony Orchestra, which recently became the orchestra in residence at the Seoul Arts Center in Socho-dong, Seoul.

There is a good chance that the program may also feature some Korean songs.

They said MBC tried to contact the municipal Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra, but it was not available on the evening of June 22, the scheduled date for the concert.

The concert with "The Three Tenors" Luciano Pavarotti, Placido Domingo and Jose Carreras will be given at Seoul's Chamshil Main Olympic Stadium and will be televised live nationwide.
