A North Korean official has announced a government plan to provide helicopter service from the North's city of Rajin to Yongil, China, and Vladivostok, Russia to better accomodate foreign business travelers.

Vice Chairman Chae Song-hak of the People’s Board in the Rajin-Seonbong Economic and Free Trade Zone reportedly made the remarks at a September 4th forum on regional economic cooperation and development of the Tumen River delta in Changchun, China.

Chae also emphasized the development potential for a relay transportation system connecting the Rajin-Seonbong region with China’s Domun and Russia’s Hasan regions.

Meanwhile, a Chinese daily, Heilong Jiang, reported that Pyongyang had granted China's Hunchun city exclusive operation rights to Rajin's port for the next fifty years and would provide five to ten square kilometers of land for an industrial complex in the city.
