General Assembly opens for World Skills Competition

In September, Seoul will host the World Skills Competition.
Ahead of the contest, technical committee meetings and a special general assembly opened in Seoul Wednesday.
A total of 73 official and technical delegates from 34 countries are taking part in the seven day conference. Topics of discussions include overall preparations for this year's competition ranging from competition sites, selecting and placing equipment to deciding on the tournament's schedule.
At the general assembly meeting, delegates will discuss whether to accept Saudi Arabia as a member country, as well as exchange ideas for the future direction of the World Skills Competition.
Delegates will also tour the Convention and Exhibition Center in southeastern Seoul, where the 36th competition will be held from September sixth through 19th.
