Inter-Korean Reunions Set for Nov.

The 12th round of inter-Korean family reunions will be held at North Korea’s Mt. Geumgang from November 5th for a six-day run.

The Unification Ministry said Friday that the recent inter-Korean ministerial talks had produced an agreement on the timing of the reunion, and that South Korea’s Red Cross opened a meeting Friday to select participants for the event.

Accordingly, the two Koreas are expected to exchange the first lists of two hundred candidates each for the reunions on October 11th, and select the final 100 participants on October 24th.

The ministerial talks also produced an agreement to hold a working-level contact in the North’s border town of Gaesong on October 5th for the expansion of video reunions.
