Former South African President Nelson Mandela came to Seoul Saturday on the first stop of a three-nation tour.
Mandela came in a private capacity and will meet President Kim Dae-jung at Chong Wa Dae Monday afternoon.
President Kim arrives from his U.S. trip on Sunday.
Mandela has a meeting scheduled with Prime Minister Lee Han-dong but has otherwise limited his activities. He leaves on a special flight Monday evening to India en route to Germany.
The former South African president is said to have included the South Korean visit to meet President Kim and exchange views on the Korean peace process and regional affairs.
Kim and Mandela share a lot in common, both having been imprisoned for their stands against totalitarian regimes in their homelands before eventually winning their states' highest offices.
Mandela was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1993, and Kim Dae Jung received the prize in 2000.
Mandela made a state visit to South Korea while president in July 1995.
