A radio program by North Korean defectors in Seoul says recent footage shows North Korean soldiers in August beating a woman who tried to cross the Yalu River near the North's border with China.
Free North Korea Broadcasting on Monday said a broker obtained the 20 minutes of footage showing guards beat the woman near a guard post.
Japanese media will soon broadcast the footage.
Twenty defectors launched the program on April 20th to help fellow escapees from the North.
The program is run by five staff with the financial support of 30 defectors.
