S-N Economic Office to Open in P'yang

The Unification Ministry on Thursday said an inter-Korean economic cooperation office will open on October 25th in the North Korean border city of Gaesong.

The ministry said the two sides agreed to the office Tuesday in the second session of a joint preparatory committee.

The two Koreas will also launch on October 25th their eleventh bilateral economic talks.

Twenty-six permanent staff including 16 from South Korea and about ten from the North will work at the office, which will be set up in the annex of the Gaesong Industrial Complex Management Committee.

The North on Saturday will also hold an investor relations session for South Korean businessmen who will attend a ceremony to mark the opening of a textile plant in Pyongyang.
